May you rest in paradise my old friend
  2. Scott Voda says 10/28/17
Gus, thank you for your friendship, and the time you spent coaching me. I will miss talking all things baseball, but especially about our time at 'The Mount'. You always had an infectious personality, and was singing "Mama didn't make little green apples". You will be very missed.

RIP Gus! So many of us at Mercy came to know Gus at lunchtime in the cafeteria. He would serenade us with songs and we learned many facts from talking with him. It always ended with a smile for Gus and us! I'm sure you've already made it to "Cubs Heaven"! Enjoy...we'll miss you!

My mom and I used to ice skate all the time. He knew my grandparents as well. Such a friendly man. Rest in peace.

My dad,Jack Dunmore, and Gus were best friends since childhood. They were both passionate about teaching kids to play and love baseball. We consider Gus part of our family. He was such a huge part of my childhood. I love ya Gussie! Now you and Dad have front row seats to every Cub game! Love, Mickey.

Prayers to the family at this sad time of loss. I will always remember his infectious smile growing up on Willany Drive. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and learned to ice skate and loved baseball because of his lessons. I'm glad to have known him and am sure he was glad to see the Cubs win a World series during his lifetime. God bless you Gus!

We are so sorry for your loss. What a happy and fun person, Gus was. And he always had a song for you. Our sympathy and prayers.

Ditto what Michelle said. Gus was my dad's (Jack Dunmore)best friend, best man in his wedding and a huge part of our growing up. He bought us ice cream at all the ball ganes, taught us to ice skate, came to my parents house for parties and was always funny, kind and had great stories. He was a huge part of the Clinton community and will be so missed.
