Paul N. Conway age 72 of Clinton, passed away Monday July 24, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Prince of Peace Parish. Cremation rites will be accorded following the Mass with the burial at a later date. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com Paul was born on August 21, 1944 in Dublin, Ireland, the son of John and Maeve (Mulhall) Conway. He married Cheryl Miller on August 31, 1974 in Clinton. Paul worked as a welder and pipefitter for Local Union #25 for over 33 years. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish and enjoyed golfing at Fulton Country Club, playing bridge, and showing his Irish Wolfhound Dogs. Paul is survived by his wife, Cheryl Conway of Clinton; two brothers, James and Barry (Brenda) Conway both of Ireland; his sister, Eillish (Tom) Sheridan of Ireland. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John.

Visitation:

Tuesday 6 - 8 PM at the Pape Funeral Home.

Mass:

    My condolences and sympathy to the family of Paul. He was a good friend to my father, until the end. He was a wonderful person to friends and family. He will be missed.

    I always enjoyed visiting with Paul while walking our dog, Casey.........such a friendly and kind man and a wonderful neighbor..............our sympathies to the family

    Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your dear, loved one. Death is hard to deal with. Even Jesus gave way to tears when Lazarus died (John 11:35). But our Heavenly Father views death as an enemy and promises to put an end to it (1 Cor 15:26). We can look forward to being reunited with our loved ones again.
