Paul E. Troutman age 69 of Clinton, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 at Eagle Point Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Evangelical Free Church, Clinton. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 A.M. on Monday at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services with burial at a later date in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Paul Edward Troutman, the son of Henry P. and Eleanor J. (Morse) Troutman, was born October 15, 1945 in Clinton. He attended Clinton Schools and later the Glenwood Training School. Paul married Shirley Wilson on May 21, 1977. Shirley passed away on September 20, 2014. He was employed at various restaurants and also at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital and the Skyline Center. He was a member of the Christian faith and enjoyed attending church services. Paul was an avid baseball fan, having been a season ticket holder for many years for the Clinton Baseball Club. Paul had a good sense of humor and loved animals, especially dogs. He bowled in the Skyline Bowling League, enjoyed going out to eat and spending time with his nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Paul is survived by his son James Paul Troutman; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Jacob, and their mother, Wendy Boelens of Clinton; a brother Robert (Linda) of Clinton, two sisters; Norma (Tom) Jones of Fulton and Shirley (Richard) Carpenter of Morrison, an Aunt Ella Ross of Des Moines and many nieces and nephews.
