Virginia C. Hoffman, age 75 of Clinton, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at Eagle Point Nursing Home. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Pape Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 4:00 P.M.
Virginia was born in Bloomer, Wisconsin on March 16, 1940, the daughter of Truman Edwin and Vera Clare (Powers) Hoagland. She attended schools in Wisconsin. Virginia married Leon Clark. She later married Tim Hoffman who preceded her in death. In her younger days Virginia enjoyed singing in her father’s band. She was a homemaker and was known for raising chickens.
Virginia is survived by six children; Mark (Trudy) Clark of Waterville, WA, Ryan Clark of Moore, OK, Matthew Clark of Belle Plaine, IA, Tim Clark of Clinton, Tammy (Dan) Brockett of Cherokee, IA and Cindy Kimmer of Maquoketa; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two brothers, Phillip “Dave” Hoagland of Clinton and Joseph Hoagland and her husband in Christ, Billy Hensley of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lanny Clark; a grandson and a brother, Chuck Hoagland. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
