Lucille C. Schoolman age 92 of Clinton, passed away Monday Nov. 14, 2016 at the Alverno Health Care Facility. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte. Visitation will be held Thursday 4 – 7 PM at the Pape Funeral Home and Friday 9:30 AM until the service hour at the church. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Brian, Brad, Mike, and Tevin Stoecker, Smith Gilmore, and Darwin Rickertsen. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Petersen, Jerry Jost, Lorin Berg, Larry and Phil Rickertsen. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com. Lucille was born on April 29, 1924 on the family farm in Charlotte, the daughter of Herman and Christina (Mohr) Rickertsen. She married Alvin Schoolman on Aug. 13, 1944 in Charlotte. She was a homemaker, where she and Alvin farmed near Charlotte. Lucille was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking & canning, fishing, and entertaining. Lucille and Alvin enjoyed traveling to Arizona to spend time with Dale and his family. She loved to vacation at their home on Lake Thunderhead in Unionville, MO. In 1977 she and Alvin built a home east of Goose Lake when they retired. The last four years she enjoyed living at Prairie Hills in Clinton. Lucille is survived by her three children, Phyllis (Dan) Driscoll of Charlotte, Donna Schoolman of Clinton, and Dale (Nancy) Schoolman of Glendale, AZ; four grandchildren, Brian (Heather), Brad, Mike, and Christina (Masa); two great grandchildren, Tevin and Morgan; 9 step grandchildren, 13 step great grandchildren, and a step great-great grandson; and a sister, Arlene (Ray) Rickertsen of Bettendorf . She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 9 brothers, and 2 sisters.
